The first facility built by the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad was the steam locomotive storage shed in Garibaldi, OR. This facility is approximatly 65 feet long by 30 feet wide. The building has two tracks inside with one track extending through the building to a storage track behind.

The building was started in 2004 and the steam locomotive was first housed inside begining May 2005. The building was slowly improved over the years with a concrete floor added in sections, completed in September 2009. Electricity was finally added in the winter of 2008.

The Oregon coast Scenic Railroad is a non-profit museum group (501(c)(3)) operating in conjunction with the Port of Tillamook Bay Railroad.
